About this course
Develops senior personal assistants into office leaders who manage people, budgets and projects, not only diaries. The programme covers supervisory skills, delegation, basic financial management, planning and organising, problem solving, influencing senior stakeholders and managing change in the office. Delegates complete a personal development plan linked to their organisation's goals.
Why this course
PAs often supervise junior staff, run budgets and coordinate cross-functional work without formal management training. This programme closes that gap, prepares strong PAs for office manager or chief of staff roles and gives the organisation a pool of internal candidates for succession.
What delegates will be able to do
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to
- Delegate and supervise tasks given to junior administrative staff
- Prepare and monitor a departmental or office budget
- Apply structured problem-solving methods to recurring office issues
- Influence senior stakeholders using evidence and clear written proposals
- Draft a personal development plan linked to career and organisational goals
Who should attend
Senior PAs, executive assistants and office managers who already carry supervisory duties or are being prepared for management roles in ministries, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions and private companies. Several years of PA experience is expected.
How it is delivered
Facilitator-led sessions combining management case studies, group problem-solving, budget exercises and individual coaching on each delegate's development plan. It is available as a public course, in-house at your premises, or as live virtual sessions. Duration and dates are confirmed in your quote, and in-house groups can have the examples and exercises fitted to their organisation.
