Builds advanced skills for managing large or complex agricultural and rural development projects. Topics include the logical framework and theory of change, multi-year work planning, cost and budget control, procurement of inputs and works, production and climate risk management, seasonal scheduling, value chain components, results-based monitoring and evaluation, and reporting to government and donor funders.

Agricultural projects face risks that most sectors do not, including rainfall variability, pests, price swings and long distances to farmers. Late inputs or weak monitoring can cost a whole season.
